  when people pray does god listen? does he care? when prayers are "answered", is that proof of a divine being? and when prayers arent "answered", is that proof that there is no divine being? or was their lack of faith? I mean for instance as an example....there are two families. Both lose their children. Both families pray to god for the safe return of their children. One family has their child returned to them and the other does not. Did the one family not pray hard enough? or does god have nothing at all to do with any of it?

  what do you guys think?

  My Dad Isn't There Anymore

  it really struck me last night that my dad is pretty much gone.

  he has advanced alzheimers, and is slowly dying of kidney failure from 40 years of diabetes.

  the family stepped in and said no to dialysis, because it would be 5 hours per day 3 days per week - minimum, for limited return on quality of life.

  my first cup of coffee.....

  it's been about two months since i've drank coffee, i quit cold turkey don't ask why........just wanted to say i didn't miss it at all and now i wonder how i ever drank this stuff in the first place!.

  back to cranberry juice in the am for me!.

  anyone else ever give up something and wonder later how or why they ever drank, ate or smoked it in the first place?.

  Give up coffee cold turkey voluntarily!? Not me, i couldnt do it. I love the taste and aroma of it. I like to add afew sticks of cinnamon to my coffee. I remember how my great grandmother would let me take small sips of her coffee when i was bout 4 yrs old. Nope couldnt not give up coffee.

  i do have odd luck with the ladies.

  not that i lack meeting them or being able to get a date but just seem to meet the wrong ones or ones that bore me or girls that live 1,000s of miles away.

  i just broke off a relationship a few weeks back and have had mixed feelings about dating right now.

  Hi Everybody!!

  Thanks gmoney and tia brenda. and everyone else that might be inquiring.

  All is good in jarocholandia. We did have alotta rain on monday. I mean nonstop 24 hours worth of constant raining. But its all good. There are a couple counties that were declared disaster areas and are still underwater, but as far as veracruz is concerned (the port city) its A OK. and Im ok as well. Thanks for your concern. Its greatly apreciated.

  there are a few films that i really connect with that sum up my j-dub experiences........ .

  shawshank redemption: if you've ever "served time" at bethel, you can't help but connect with this film.

  institutionalization, mental persecution and "andy dufrene crossing through 500 yards of shit, came out clean on the other side.
